Bank Bumiputera was established in the late eighties to participate in the booming economy of Indonesia at the time. Like many banks during those days, Bank Bumiputera quickly developed a sizeable portfolio of corporate loan assets which, by 1997, accounted for more than 90% of the Bank’s total loan assets of approximately Rp 600 billion. Then came the great Asian crash, pummeling Indonesia into its worst multidimensional crisis ever.
Over the next several years, amidst the ruins of defaulting debts and collapsing banks, Bank Bumiputera worked feverishly to unload its corporate loans portfolio, ultimately reaching the lowest point of 16.5% of the Bank’s total loan assets of some Rp 1.28 trillion in 2001.
Reconfigured in 2002, launched in January 2003, the Bank Bumiputera logo set the tone for a more dynamic and forwardlooking bank as we celebrate our 13 th anniversary on 12 January 2003 . The basic type sets have been retained for familiarity, while the original red and blue are now combined with yellow and white to denote strength of character from traditional Indonesian roots while also embracing modern values and cuttingedge technology. A new motto has also been coined to reflect the new spirit: “The Preferred Family Bank - Smart and Cheerful”
Founded in 1989 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of AJB Bumiputera 1912, the oldest mutual life insurance group in Indonesia , Bank Bumiputera has evolved into a solid mid-size bank of sound achievement and reputation, a publiclyheld bank as of July 2002. At the same time, Bank Bumiputera slowly and painstakingly transformed its operations from that of a corporate bank into a consumer bank - a move which, in fact, had been conceived prior to the crisis; the strategy and blueprint of which were developed in 1995.
In a sense, we can say that Bank Bumiputera had prepared itself for the ensuing crisis. In a sector-wide mapping of all banks by Bank Indonesia following the crisis, Bank Bumiputera qualified as a Category-A bank in the classification of A: solvent bank; B: recapitalize bank and C: insolvent bank; and survived the crisis on its own feet without government recapitalization. Its survival was largely attributable to the sound and prudent management of the Bank in every way, which is part of a greater operating platform guided by the principles of Good Corporate Governance including the Bank’s core values. Working diligently and earnestly within the confines of Good Corporate Governance has enabled Bank Bumiputera to grow and evolve soundly into the respectable family-oriented bank that it has now become. Today, Bank Bumiputera continues to position itself as the preferred family bank with a smart and cheerful demeanor, serving a growing number of customers with a strong sense of heritage, compassion, intelligence and trust.

Requirements :
- Male or Female, age below 40 years old
- Min 10 years experience in banking, with the last few years in the related management position
- Have broad knowledge of banking, especially in consumer business area
- Have a wide networking, capable in demonstrate interpersonal skill and strong leadership
Job Description:
- To lead Consumer unit activity as targeted
- To coordinate group business and branches to develop the performance of unit in achieving the target.
- As the change agent in deliver the vision, mission and company policy to the subordinate.
